Kakes3D learning Maya blog started out as my personal learning notebook in 2009, to record newly learnt skills that was applied to my recent 3D artwork. Unlike 2D software, there is so much breadth and depth to Maya, and keeping notes helped me recall how to do specific things when I needed it later – even years later.
It has since grown and has become something close to a collection of tutorials – and it has even been mentioned by Autodesk Maya:
Topics covered include 3D modelling, texturing, rendering, animation, post-production, and real-time 3D engines. The blog has always been public in the hopes that it could help other Maya users too, and its number of yearly visitors peaked at 39,942 in 2013.
